The TTOA Basic SWAT Course is designed for individuals who have recently been assigned to SWAT and who have not received basic SWAT training, experienced SWAT officers seeking a continuing education course in the fundamentals, or tactically minded officers who feel having this skill set would enhance their agency response capabilities.
Students will be introduced to contemporary skills and techniques which include, but are not limited to: historical overview of SWAT, team organization and structure, containment of crisis sites, CQB team movement, warrant service and multiple field training exercises. Student will also be exposed to basic safe weapons handling and live fire application of mission specific weapons in a Team and Close Quarters environment. This is a hands-on school where students practice skills and techniques in the field.
This is a law enforcement / military only course. This is a TN POST compliant course.

Packing list: Helmet, body armor, duty belt, duty pistol, 3 mags, duty rifles, 3 mags, pouches for both, eye and ear pro, 500 rounds carbine, 500 rounds pistol, pencil and Rite-in-rain notepad. Laptop optional. Sustainment for meals and snacks/cooler etc. Good attitude, open mind, eager spirit with physical fitness level capable of carrying all of the above.
